I have been to county mental health services before back home and they were terrifying to say the least. But this place is completely different. I feel safe here and their services are phenomenal. They offer more than just counseling services. They have groups to managing chronic pain and they even have job counseling services. They can also give you physical exams and help you get set up with a doctor. I feel like my life is getting better since I started coming here. Thank you, LifeWorks!!!
I was convicted of a DUII and I was required by law to attend 90 day outpatient treatment. If your are looking for a good outpatient recovery center, I would recommend this location. If possible, ask for Kevin Shank to be your counselor. He is an amazing counselor who really knows how to get you interested in recovery. I came in thinking I was going to just get through this and go back to drinking the way I was, because I felt that I didn't have a problem, minus the drinking and driving of course. But after some classes with Kevin, he has changed my mind. Each class is very informative. (I had to do outpatient once before with kaiser and the classes we took were so dull. We watched those "alcohol is bad videos" from the 90's with no real relevant information or updated research.) Kevin talks about the negative effects of alcohol/drugs with actual updated research and science. And he does it in a non pushy way, that keeps your interest, instead of pushing you away. Thanks lifeworks and Kevin for giving me a new perspective. I know my life has changed for the better.
They have been extremely helpful. Suffering complex PTSD is not easy and they have made the treatment process very tolerable. Julie was so understanding and caring. I really felt taken care of.
Compassionate, but the turnover is likely due to low pay. Its hard to get help when you pull your heart out only to find "they" are gone - 4 people and counting... "Wanted" a masters degree - pay - $15.00 a hour? The people that work with patients are so kind, what kind of pay for the ones that don't?
It was good but u can't please everyone
Representatives were very compassionate towards my situation.
Always willing to help, not judge you!
Wow highly recommend for dui course the ppl here are honest and compassionate. They have a sliding scale of 5$ a group. This place is 1000 times better then treatment services nw. They screw you up on purpose and tell you wrong information
